            In the general concern of juvenile delinquency, the problem of drug addiction manifests to be a critical issue at this problem affects both the physical, physiological, and mental condition of the youth significantly affecting their present and future outcome and potentials. Due to the pressure of their transition from childhood to adulthood, the youth population resorts to using different mediums and approaches in coping with their situation included in this is the influence of drug addiction. Some young men and women resort to using highly addictive drugs to comfort and relax them against the pressure of their situation, challenges and problems.

As the drugs involved in this aspect are medically known to be highly sedative due to their influence to the physiological and mental aspect of the human anatomy, it can be said that its usage is indeed effective for the said reason. However, it is also a strong fact that illegal drugs are also very damaging and addictive to its users in all aspects thus, it is important to protect the young population towards these detrimental influences. First, the society must prohibit activities involving these illegal drugs such as production, distribution, usage, transaction, and others. Second, information awareness campaign towards must also be fortified to enhance their effectiveness and scope in the population. Most important, the youth who are the likely victims of this problem must be helped in either staying away or castrating themselves from their already addictive habit of drug addiction.

This presentation shows that at some point, the legalization of the use of drugs as medical help actually increased the number of people using drugs. Symptoms of Drug Addiction

            In helping youth who already have fallen victim to this problem, awareness and early determination of their condition is essentially important. In this aspect, the concerned population must be aware of the symptoms or signs of drug usage and addiction during its early stages to effectively help the target population regarding this juvenile delinquency problem. In this evaluation and detection, it is important to consider the effects of drug addiction in the different aspects of its user such as physical, physiological and behavioral, mental, and social manifestations.

Physical Aspect

            Under the physical manifestation, the use of illegal drug and addiction in this habit often manifest in several signs such as unusual cuts, needle marks, abrasion, bruises, and other similar physical tampering in the user. These signs commonly appear in the shoulder region, forearm, neck, and other regions commonly used for injection and other intravenous methods. Also, the ocular region show much symptoms of this problem such as highly alarming eye problem, degradation such as darkening region and eye bags, unusual reddening, and others. Signs of sleep deprivation are also a possible symptom for drug addiction. In addition, unusual weight loss, decrease in muscular tone and body mass, irregular metabolic cycle, decrease in general physical capacity are also considerable symptoms of drug addiction.

Physiological and Behavioral Aspects

            The problem of drug addiction can also affect the physiological and behavioral characteristics of its user thus, concerned people must consider this aspect in evaluating the individuals who are already having problems of drug addiction. First in foremost, drug addiction can result to a significant altercation in the normal behavioral characteristic of its user resulting. This results to unusual reactions and action, uncharacterized behavioral responses, alarming mood changes, being temperamental, and others characteristics, which are unusual to the normal to the person. Indeed, observation of his or her characteristics will likely suggest critical changes in the person due to his or her issue of drug addiction.

Social Aspect

            Changes due to drug problem also affect the characteristic of the person in the social aspect changing him or her from his or her normal social behavior. This includes sudden isolation from the normal environment that he or she is involved with such as family, friends, community and others. This separation can also sometimes lead into his or her sudden will to severe his or her social ties and relationship . In addition, involvement to social groups of questionable character and activities will also suggest problems of juvenile delinquencies and drug addiction in the young person.

Mental Aspect

            The effects of drug addiction can also affect the mental characteristic and capacity of the involved person. This includes significant decrease in mental activity and ability, memory loss, problems in concentration and focus, unusual wavering of thoughts, hallucinations and others. These symptoms are mainly effect of the chemical composition of the drug substance that has significant detrimental effects on the human brain and the nervous system of the person.

Conclusion

            In general, the early determination of the problem of juvenile delinquency and drug addiction can be effectively achieve through close observance to the manifestation of its symptoms. Erratic changes in the physical, behavioral, mental, and social characteristic of the person can suggest that he or she is already having problems of addiction towards illegal and harmful drugs. Most importantly in this concern, in helping the youth against their problems of juvenile delinquencies and drug addiction, concerned adults must give sufficient time, effort, and resources in assisting the young population through their critical transition periods.

Parents and family guardians in particular must developed a healthy and communal relationship with their young generations in which the adult can feel and relate with the problems of their young member and where the latter can freely share and open their problems to their adult counterpart. Through this, the problem of juvenile delinquency can be significantly negated alongside its form such as drug addiction and others thus, enabling the young society to grow and mature as healthy members of the future generation.
